Robert "Rob" was certified in February 2017 at age 44 and instantly fell in love with scuba diving! He regrets waiting so late in life to start living the Dive Life. Rob learned as much as possible by taking specialty courses and working in the scuba industry's retail side. Reaching the rating of Master Diver, the highest recreational diver rating, in July of 2018, Rob knew he wanted to continue his education and become a Dive Pro so he could share his love of all things scuba with the rest of the world. His favorite course is Try Scuba because he LOVES watching students' amazement and excitement when they take their first breath underwater.
So far, Rob has made international dive trips to the Bahamas and Mexico. Domestically, Rob has been fortunate enough to dive in West Palm Beach, Myrtle Beach, and Midway, Utah...yep, Utah. His travels will continue with all of the fantastic trips offered by Virginia Scuba! So far, his favorite dive was in the summer of 2019 in Myrtle Beach, where he interacted with 4 adult and 2 juvenile Mantas! Rob wants to continue his professional education through the Instructor ranks and retire someplace where he can teach scuba and never have to wear long pants or shoes ever again.
