In 2013, Charles Thornburg became a National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) - certification  E3084901 and is licensed as an EMT in Virginia (B201301875).  In 2019, Charles was licensed as an EMT in West Virginia (WV528257)

Charles is an SSI Master Diver.  He started diving in 2016 because his wife wanted to go on a cruise for their anniversary.  Instead, they went on the Cat Ppalu in the Bahamas. They have been diving in Belize, Honduras, Myrtle Beach, Lake Joccassee, the springs of Florida, and the Bahamas. 

Charles’ spouse, Darlene Thornburg, also works at Virginia Scuba as a divemaster.
